Peace building in karamoja

 With Karamoja once again in violent turmoil, our peace-building efforts have been revived. We recognize the need for psycho-social transformation as well as concrete building of social capital through joint, cooperative dialogues and development activitie 

From 2007, CLIDE has trusted the Lord to use them to bring reconciliation and healing to the warring communities of Karamoja.  Cattle rustling, death and insecurity were the common topics in Karamoja for many years. Following our successfull peace building from 2007-2019 a significant improvement in security could be seen. Recently, however, the raiding has begun again, but this time on a commercial basis, rather than led b tribal elders.   CLICK HERE to donate towards bringing peace to the warring Karamojong.

Pray for the community and regional leaders, for their strength to fight against the corruption and division that is so prevalent in Karamoja.

Pray for the victims of the raids, that they will be able to recover their stolen animals and revitalize their livelihoods.
